January vs July
Here in Australia, it's the depth of winter.
And while everything around us is going still - there is a call to begin.
Astrologically, with Neptune, Saturn and Mercury in retrograde - and Uranus freshly entered into Gemini - we're invited to reflect, recalibrate and make bold choices that come from within.
Uranus is one of my favorite planets. It encourages you to carve your own path and do things differently to those around you. Combined with Gemini's energy of intellect, curiosity, and trying things, and wow what a combination to try something new.
So this winter, or summer - if you are in the Northern Hemisphere, why not try something new in July, or if you are reading this in August, September, October or any other month rather than New Years Resolutions try taking action now - not just on New Year's Day, which often tricks us into believing that will be 'The Year'. Truth is, the only guaranteed time is now.
The Body I Left Behind
Four years ago, I experienced a major stress event that triggered a cascade of changes - the most visible was a 20 kilo (or 44lbs) weight gain.
I had stopped honoring my body.
While I poured energy into many of the other pillars - mind, spirit, purpose, relationships, inner peace - the body pillar stood neglected.
Here's the thing - when you stop listening to your body, it doesn't just go quiet. It speaks through discomfort, exhaustion, and disconnection.
When One Pillar Falls, the Others Tremble
The disconnection to my body rippled into everything.
My mind critiqued me endlessly for not exercising and making nourishing choices.
My purpose was delayed as I wouldn't fully show up online, and in my business, because I left uncomfortable being seen.
My inner peace was impacted because my self-worth was bruised. Deep down I knew I wasn't caring for myself in the way I deserved.
My relationships were affected because I did not want to go out in public often. If I had to dress up to go out I wasn't interested - I didn't want to be seen, and so I dressed to meet that expectation.
A Gentle Restart: Tools that Support, Not Punish
So here I am - mid-winter, mid-year, and the start of mid-life - starting again to build new habits, to be present each day. Not from shame. Not in punishment for the past, but as a reverent return to the body that houses me.
I've made it easy, accessible, and simple by starting with these tools:
A rebounder
A weighted vest
Kettle bells
A shift to protein-rich meals for fewer sugar crashes and better sleep
Prioritizing water intake
And every step, I am tracking it in my journal.
Because taking action matters, and recording my progress is part of my steps in being accountable.
The Law of Action: Why Manifestation Needs Movement
The Law of Action combined with intention and visualization is the key to manifestation.
The Universe needs you to move. Even the smallest steps towards your vision creates creates ripples.
So, I'm taking action. What about you?
Your Body is Sacred. It's time to treat it that way.
I've tried bootcamps. Personal Trainers. Completed Tough Mudder's.
What I hadn't tried. Listening. Honoring. Loving.
Even when I was in my highest peak physical condition I did none of those things.
It is not about getting my "old body back". Instead, it is about building a new relationship with my now - the one that carried me through stress, becoming a mother, through every version of myself so far.
I respect this body, she has carried me through so much - it's time to thank her.
The moment to start is now.
In love, Nita

What if balance isn't the goal?
Let me introduce the 9 Pillars of a Life in Flow — a gentle framework for tuning into your body, mind, and spirit in real time.
I used to chase balance like it was the prize. Like if I could just get the right routine, the right meal plan, balance my social calendar, my family time, my romantic relationship, or finally figure out my hormones, I’d unlock some secret level of peace.
But Balance? It always felt fleeting. And exhausting.
What I came to realize is this. Life isn’t linear, it’s rhythmic.
Some seasons are for rest. Some are for hustle. Some are for healing. And some… are just for being.
The Rhythm I was Looking For
When I stopped trying to hold everything in perfect balance, I started to notice the ebb and flow of my life. The way certain areas were flourishing while others need more tending. Instead of judging myself like I had in the past, I started paying attention - and mapping it.
Not as a strict life plan.
Not a fixed framework.
But a gentle compass.
I welcomed in self-love, self-compassion, self-respect. I became the friend to myself that I had never been before. I held space for myself to breathe and be exactly where I was.
My map became a rhythm where I could return to and see where I was off course.
Not with pressure.
Not with unkind words.
Jut an honest check-in to notice when I might want to shift focus.
That rhythm became what I now call “The 9 Pillars of a Life in Flow”.
Why Pillars?
Life has many parts, and you don’t have to have it all together all of the time. These pillars aren’t about performance.
They’re places to check in, not check out.
Think of them like energetic rooms in your house. Some are bright and busy. Others are quiet. Some need cleaning. Some need laughter and light. You get to decide which door you walk through, and when.
Sometimes they’re places to pause.
To reflect.
To reset.
In the past, I would disrupt my inner peace by looping mentally over the most mundane interactions. And when I say mundane, I mean really mundane. Like “Did I say hello to that work colleague this morning?” Even though that colleague never acknowledged me, the lack of closure in that moment would spin in my head for hours.
That inner noise — that self-recrimination — stole my peace. But over time, as I began to practice self-love, these interactions stopped hijacking my energy. I no longer gave weight to what wasn’t mine to carry.
Working on my Mind pillar had a ripple effect on my Inner Peace.
That’s the beauty of it: when you nourish one pillar, others begin to rise too.
The 9 Pillars of a Life in Flow
Each pillar holds a part of your story. And every blog post I share from here on will gently explore one or more of these:
1. Self — Your relationship with you is the foundation.
2. Mind — Your thoughts create the lens through which you see the world.
3. Body — Your sacred home, constantly speaking to you.
4. Spirit — Your unseen connection to something bigger.
5. Relationships — The energy between you and the ones you love.
6. Purpose — What lights you up and asks to be expressed.
7. Wealth — Not just money, but time, support, and safety.
8. Inner Peace — Nervous system care and choosing calm in a noisy world.
9. Legacy — The ripple of your values, now and beyond.
How You Can Use Them
You’ll start seeing these 9 Pillars pop up across this site. The point isn’t to master them all — it’s to notice where your energy is moving.
Ask yourself:
Which pillar feels alive for you right now?
Which one feels a little neglected — not with shame, just with open-minded curiosity.
Which one is whispering for your attention?
Let’s Begin
Whether you are just starting your self-love journey or you’ve been on the path for a while — welcome. I'm so glad you are here.
This isn’t a place for perfect people — it’s a place for gentle rhythms, honest reflection, and creating a life that actually feels like yours.
I’ll be starting with a few blog posts focused on the Body pillar, because my health is what's whispering to me at the moment. The other pillars are never far away, and I'll weave them in as I feel called to.
Until then, take a breath.
Pick a pillar that calls to you.
And trust that you’re right on time.
